Great Chicago Sports Moments
THE SHOT - May 7, 1989,Cleveland. The lasting image of this moment is Jordan's wild and emphatic celebration: a leap into the air and multiple fist pumps while shouting at the visiting crowd. This scene has become part of many fans' recollection of The Shot, but it was not shown to viewers of the televised game. CBS never aired this replay during the game telecast, nor was Jordan's celebration caught by the sideline pressbox camera used for most game action. Instead, fans saw the celebration of Bulls coach Doug Collins.
At the post-game news conference, Chicago head coach Doug Collins said the plan of the play was "Give the ball to Michael and get the f@#k out of the way!"-js

Are You "Deck"

*Note to self: When someone gives you a copy of "The Hipster Handbook" they may be trying to tell you something..... Thanks ENB!
- js
Hipster - One who possesses tastes, social attitudes, and opinions deemed cool by the cool. (Note: it is no longer recommended that one use the term "cool"; a Hipster would instead say "deck.") The Hipster walks among the masses in daily life but is not a part of them and shuns or reduces to kitsch anything held dear by the mainstream.
